M7 is the Higher Tier completion content. It builds on the Foundation modules and the M5 and M6 material with more demanding work across number, algebra, geometry and statistics.

Our M7 revision resources focus on the M7 content.

How the M7 Exam Works

The M7 exam covers M5, M6 and M7 topics, and assumes knowledge from M1, M2 and M3. It is the Higher Tier Completion Test (grades B, C*, C, D and E), and combines with one modular test (M1–M4) for your final grade — the recommended pairing is M3 + M7.

Exam structure

  • Paper 1: No calculator, 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Paper 2: Calculator, 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Completion test — 55% of your final GCSE Maths grade
