About this worksheet
This free English worksheet is designed for P6–P7 pupils preparing for the SEAG transfer test. It covers three skills across four pages: using a colon to introduce lists, explanations and quotations; using a semicolon to join two closely related main clauses; and deciding which of the two marks a sentence needs.
The practice sentences are set in Northern Ireland throughout, using the Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce Castle, Titanic Belfast and the Ulster Museum, so the punctuation practice sits in familiar surroundings.
Includes: four-page colour PDF and full answer sheet.
