Allocation pattern
Score rank order
Places go in strict SEAG score order, highest first, until the school is full. When scores tie at the cut-off, published tie-break criteria decide the final places.

Foyle College: SEAG score and admissions criteria
This page shows exactly how Foyle College used SEAG results to allocate Year 8 places,
taken from the school’s own published admissions criteria. It is one of the
63 school evidence cards in our SEAG admissions guide.
How places were allocated for September 2026
- 126 places. Applicants are admitted in rank order of Total Standardised Age Score (TSAS), highest mark first, up to the admissions number.
- Where more applicants share a mark than places remain, criteria apply in order: a sibling at the school → transferring from a named contributory primary school → the eldest child of the family → date of birth (eldest first), then surname initial.
- If places remain after all SEAG-assessed applicants, applicants who did not sit the test are considered next.
Places go by score rank alone. The sibling, feeder-primary and eldest-child criteria only separate applicants who share the same mark for the last place. The Band is not used.
