Tell us what your child needs and we will match you with a qualified teacher. Our tutors currently cover the SEAG transfer test (P6 and P7), GCSE Maths and English at KS3, GCSE and A-level, online or in person across Northern Ireland. The first lesson is a £25 introductory lesson booked through us. After that you arrange lessons and payment directly with your tutor at the rate on their profile.
How it works
Tell us what you need
Choose a tutor from their profile — or let us match you — and share the subject, year group and times that suit.
Your tutor gets in touch
A quick WhatsApp or call to confirm suitability and agree a first lesson time. Nothing to pay yet.
Book your introductory lesson
Once you're both happy, confirm and pay securely through NI Tutoring School.
Continue directly with your tutor
After the introductory lesson, you and the tutor arrange future lessons and payments directly.
Not the right match? Let us know and we will help you find another suitable tutor.
Questions parents ask before booking
How much does a tutor cost?
The introductory lesson is £25, paid to NI Tutoring School. Every lesson after that is arranged and paid directly with your tutor at their own hourly rate, shown on their profile. Our current tutors charge £35 to £40 an hour. We add nothing on top.
Are your tutors qualified teachers?
Yes. Every tutor is a qualified teacher who knows the SEAG or CCEA specification your child is working towards. We do not take on tutors who are not qualified teachers.
Which subjects and year groups do you cover?
Our tutors currently cover the SEAG transfer test (P6 and P7, English and Maths), GCSE Maths including the CCEA modules, and English at KS3, GCSE and A-level. You can request other subjects and levels on the form and we will tell you plainly whether we have a suitable teacher rather than match you with someone unsuitable.
Is tuition online or in person?
Both. Online lessons run over an agreed video platform and are available wherever you live. In-person lessons depend on the tutor’s coverage area, and a tutor who travels may charge more than their online rate. Addresses are only shared once a booking is confirmed.
What happens after the introductory lesson?
If you are both happy, you and the tutor agree future lesson times and payment between yourselves. There is no further fee to NI Tutoring School and no minimum commitment.
What if the tutor is not the right match?
Tell us. We will help you find another suitable tutor.
How quickly will a tutor get in touch?
Your tutor contacts you first by WhatsApp, phone or email to check the fit and agree a first lesson time. You are only asked to book and pay once you are both happy.
